Let Me Introduce Myself, . . . .

Hey, guys! This is the first time I have EVER blogged so I decided to basically “get my feet wet” on this first one and tell you a little bit about myself and what I hope to accomplish in this writing process.

What will this blog consiste of? I plan on covering many various topics/ideas of conversation, basically anything that can possibly add value to our daily lives. The majority will be centered around music, since that is my passion, but as an educator I plan to bring other discussions to the table and hope that you will interact with me in all these endeavors.

I received my BAE from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies and additional certifications in Physical Education, Health, Special Education, and Music (Vocal Performance). I would go back to school and receive my Masters in English (Curriculum and Instruction) from the University of Phoenx Online and currently in school AGAIN working on my Specialist in Administration through Arkansas State University. So, as you can see, I value the importance of education, as well as borrowing so much money to get this aforementioned education that you can never theoretically pay it back. And yes, I take donations!

Musically, I play several various instruments including the mandolin, ukulele, keyboards, bass, various Latin percussion, but mainly the acoustic guitar. I have been nominated for several performing and songwriting awards from the Artists Music Guild, Mississippi Music Awards, and the Trop Rock Music Association. I’m an active member of the Country Music Association (CMAs), Americana Music Association (AMAs), and the Trop Rock Music Association (TRMAs). I like and listen to almost all genres of music, but if you were to be in the car with me you’d know my Sirius XM Radio stays on the 80’s on 8, 90’s on 9, No Shoes Radio (Kenny Chesney), and/or Radio Margaritaville (Jimmy Buffett). I love Reggae, Caribbean, and Latin music and you can definitely heard a lot of these influences in my writing and original music.

Well, I think that’s a good place to stop for now. Please send me any ideas you have that I may want to discuss in these blogs and the frequency I release these will depend on the demand. Thank you so much for stopping by and I look forward to interacting with you soon!
