The best poker game to play is probably Draw Poker. It is not for the faint of heart though. You will need some practice before you can play a decent game. There are also games such as Omaha and Stud Poker. They are more complex than the standard five-card draw. But if you are willing to invest in the time and effort, you can learn to master all three.
Most modern versions of the game require an ante before a full hand is dealt. Several betting intervals are common, with a showdown the end-all-be-all of the tournament.
